Gadgets & everyday tech, ranked
Hundreds of options. Five worth your money. One clear winner.
We read the specs, the fine print and thousands of buyer reviews, so you don't need twenty open tabs. Every shortlist names a winner, shows the reasons, and tells you when another pick suits you better.

The best product depends on who's buying.
Every shortlist is weighted for a specific buyer, and the page tells you which one. Move the sliders and watch the winner change. This is the same logic behind every ranking we publish.

Questions
The short answers.
What is Trusted Shortlist?
A site of ranked buying guides for gadgets, home tech and everyday gear. Each guide narrows a crowded category to five products and names one winner for a specific kind of buyer.
Do you test every product by hand?
No, and we won't pretend to. We research: maker specs, independent reviews, buyer reviews (the bad ones first), return policies and prices. If a page is based on hands-on use, it says so.
Why only five?
Because more choice makes buying harder, not easier. Five is enough to cover different budgets and needs. Anything past that is usually a near-copy of something already on the list.
How do you pick the winner?
Each category gets its own scorecard, weighted for the buyer the page is written for. The product with the best overall fit wins, and we tell you who should choose a different pick.
How fresh are the guides?
Every guide shows the date it was last checked. Prices and deals move quickly, so always confirm the price at checkout.
Do you sell anything?
No. We link to the sellers. If you buy through some of those links we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.
Fewer tabs. Better buys.
Pick with confidence. We've done the reading so you don't have to.
